The manufacturers of these insecticides claim that the main difference between them is the speed of action.
Fitosporin is based on a special spore culture, which, thanks to its vital processes, displaces and also suppresses the appearance and reproduction of various fungal and bacterial diseases.
Trichodermin, due to its composition, begins to fight and destroy pathogenic microorganisms much faster. But Fitosporin spreads much more slowly, but penetrates inside the plant, thanks to which it can destroy various diseases from the inside. Thus, each of these drugs has its own advantages. Trichodermin acts faster and its effect is longer lasting. But its competitor is able to cope with a number of other diseases, but the process itself takes longer.
Using the drug for soil disinfection
Even a novice gardener will be able to independently prepare a working solution from Trichodermin, which will help increase the yield of crops.
You just need to dilute 6 liters of the drug in 100 liters of clean water. The resulting product is enough for 1 ton of compost. To achieve greater results, it is better to leave the solution in a dark place for 60 days to fully mature. An absolutely healthy plant does not need watering along with parasite killers - a dose of synthetic components will simply kill the crop, because it is not sick and does not need help. Composition and properties of Trichodermin
The action of the drug is based on the activity of fungi of the Trichoderma lignorum species, which are its active component.

In any case, until Trichodermin comes into contact with water and soil, the fungi are in a dormant state. However, after preparing the solution, they gradually become active. It is the products of their vital activity that create the most favorable environment for plants.
Thanks to this mechanism of influence on the soil and the general condition of crops, the following occurs:
- stimulation of growth and formation of new plant leaves;
- saturation of the soil with useful substances;
- stimulation of plant absorption of nutrients from the substrate;
- destruction of bacteria;
- preventing the development of many phytopathologies.
Fungi such as Trichoderma are characterized by high biological activity. They take an active part in the process of decomposition of nitrites and ammonium. It is thanks to this that the soil is generously saturated with calcium and phosphorus. And these components are indispensable for the full growth and development of plants.
How to propagate Trichoderma at home
The instructions for growing Trichoderma are quite simple, and even a novice summer resident can implement it.
- Rinse the pearl barley well until the water runs clear.
- Soak in cold water for 8-12 hours (I leave it overnight).
- Drain the water (let it drain well). It's good if you get a little wet with a towel.
- Sterilize the jar in any way you like.
- Pour the grain into a jar and place it in the microwave for 4-7 minutes (depending on power) to steam. The grain should be well heated, but not cooked!
- Pour the commercial trichoderma preparation diluted according to the instructions into the cooled grain. For a half-liter jar you need about 2 tbsp.
- Do not close the jar tightly. Several layers of toilet paper or gauze, a piece of notebook paper for an eraser.
- Place in a warm place.
All! After 1-2 days you will see white fluff on the grains - this is mycelium, after another 2-3 days sporulation will be visible - bright green or bright yellow foci. Gradually they will grow and cover the entire mycelium. At this stage the drug is ready.
If you did everything according to the instructions, but after two days you still haven’t seen the white fluff of the mycelium, it means that the industrial product you used did not contain live spores - this is a counterfeit, a violation of production technology, or a direct deception of the manufacturer. It makes no sense to wait longer than two days, because... spores (if they are there) germinate very quickly under favorable conditions.

These could be Zircon, Epin, Amulet, Plantafol. If the purchased variation of Fitosporin contains humic acids, combining the product with growth stimulants is not advisable. - for watering vegetable plants, the drug is diluted in the following proportions: 100 ml of Trichophyte per 10 liters of water;
- as a preventative against possible diseases, when seedlings develop at least a couple of true leaves;
- freshly prepared Trichodermin mixture can be used to treat vegetable crops no more than once every 14-15 days;
- Vegetable crops should be sprayed on cloudy days at sunrise or after rain. The ambient temperature must be at least 17-19 degrees Celsius;
- If the plants are severely damaged, you can treat them once every two days.
For processing potatoes
- Trichodermin is used to treat potato seed during planting;
- the drug is effective against macrosporiosis, common scab, blackleg;
- You need to treat potatoes with this preparation in several stages - the first time when planting tubers, the solution is prepared as follows: dissolve 1 glass of the product in a bucket of water. The prepared mixture is enough to process 100 kg of tubers. In the future, the tops of this vegetable crop should be processed at least 3 more times - after the first shoots appear, at the beginning of flowering, after the flowers have dried.
Trichodermin for fruit and berry crops
For fruit and berry crops, this biological product should be used in the following cases:
- Trichophyte is used for spraying and watering raspberry and strawberry bushes;
- Trichodermin helps against the following diseases affecting fruit trees and shrubs - gray rot, late blight, cytosporosis;
- Berry plants need to be treated with this preparation several times during the spring and summer - the first time spraying is carried out before the sap begins to flow.
