Composition and dosage form
The active ingredient of the drug "Tiovit Jet" is SULFUR , 800 g/kg. (80%), the chemical class of pesticide belongs to inorganic compounds.
Synonyms - sulfur, netzschwefel, pol-sukol, sulkol, cumulus, cercole, sofril, thiovit, kosan, etc.
The release format is WG (water-dispersible granules) , yellowish in color, pressed from particularly finely ground raw materials, dissolving in water to form a colloidal solution. The powder form of colloidal sulfur is rarely used because sticks together. And in its pure form, sulfur itself is insoluble in water; it is highly soluble only in a number of organic solvents. Therefore, the most convenient preparative form is water-dispersible granules.
The drug "Tiovit Jet, VDG" is packaged in 20/25 kg bags. and small packages of 30 grams.

Mechanism of action
a) Features of the action of “Tiovit Jet” as a fungicide:
The fungicidal properties of the drug are due to the products of sulfur reduction or oxidation. Sulfur preparations release vapors of elemental sulfur that penetrate into the substances of fungal cells. Sulfur is a hydrogen acceptor and contributes to disruption of the normal course of hydrogenation/dehydrogenation reactions. The substance in the shell or inside the viable cells of the fungus turns into hydrogen sulfide. Hydrogen sulfide is fungitoxic.
b) Features of the action of “Tiovit Jet” as an acaricide:
The acaricidal activity of sulfur is due to its sublimation. Previously, sulfur was widely used to control pests of stocks by fumigating premises when burning sulfur. Sulfur smoke bombs are still used for fumigation with sulfur dioxide.
The protective period is 7–10 days, depending on the degree of infection and weather conditions.
The speed of exposure is several hours after treatment.
Advantages of the drug
The fungicide has a number of advantages, due to which it is often used in agriculture, gardens and summer cottages.
"Tiovit Jet" has the following advantages:
- complex fungicidal and acaricidal action;
- persistent preventive effect for up to 10 days;
- no restrictions on crop rotation;
- rapid onset of action;
- easy-to-use granular form;
- affordable price.
The fungicide is safe for plants if the processing conditions and recommended dosages are observed.
Regulations and application features
Treatment is carried out during the growing season by spraying in calm weather, in the morning and evening hours. When processing, avoid contact of the working solution with neighboring crops. The working solution should be stirred periodically during treatments to ensure a homogeneous mixture.

instructions for use "Tiovit Jet"
The drug "Tiovit Jet, VDG" is selective for most crops (vegetables, fruits, ornamentals, flowers and grapes). However, some sensitive crops (gooseberries, watermelon, melon, oilseeds, legumes, cereals, rapeseed, mustard, rapeseed, corn, sunflower, etc.) may be damaged when treated with sulfur. Sulfur can cause burns to foliage or fruit if the air temperature was high at the time of treatment.
The waiting period before harvesting is only 1 day.
Preparation of Tiovit Jet solution
Before you start processing a garden or vegetable crop, you should carefully read the rules for diluting the drug.
The dosage of the means for preparing the working fluid will depend on:
- plant varieties;
- development of the disease;
- on the age of the culture.
Thiovit Jet solution is prepared as follows:
- the drug is poured into a container with a small amount of water;
- the mixture is gently stirred until the granules are completely dissolved;
- Water is added to the solution to the required amount.
Thiovit Jet. Instructions for Use - video
The working fluid must be prepared immediately before processing. It is advisable to calculate not only the dosage of the drug, but also the volume of the drug required for treatment - the consumption rate of Tiovit Jet, since the residues cannot be stored, they cannot be poured into a reservoir or sewer, but must be disposed of in a special way.

Spraying is carried out in the morning, and the weather should be dry and windless. Leaf blades and stems need to be well moistened, but drops of working fluid should not flow onto the soil.
Important!
Do not dilute fungicidal preparations in containers used for cooking.
Since the drug is rapidly soluble in water, it can be diluted directly in a sprayer. During treatment, shake the sprayer from time to time so that it does not become clogged.
Compatibility
Compatible with most used drugs. Restrictions apply to pesticides based on oils (petroleum or mineral, or containing oils) and preparations with an alkaline reaction. A restriction has been established on the use of Tiovit Jet for 2 weeks before and/or after treatment with such pesticides.
As part of tank mixtures, the drugs are mixed in the following order - “TiovitJet, VDG” (added first), then SP (wetting powder) or SK (suspension concentrate), EC (emulsion concentrate) is added last.
Safety
For humans and warm-blooded animals, sulfur is low-toxic, hazard class – class 3.
Exit dates after treatments established by the manufacturer:
- for manual work - 4 days;
- for mechanized work - 3 days;
- The time it takes to enter the greenhouse is 4 days.
Sulfur has low toxicity for bees; it is advisable to isolate them during daytime treatment; the hazard class of the drug is class 3.
Sulfur has different effects on beneficial entomophages: for pteromalids it is non-toxic, for larvae of lacewings and hymenoptera of the ichneumonidae family it is slightly toxic, for predatory mites it is mild to highly toxic.
The drug "Tiovit Jet" is not toxic to the spores and mycelium of Trichoderma lignorum, Trichoderma viridae and Trichoderma roseum.
Advantages and disadvantages of use
The advantages of using the drug include:
- The drug "Tiovit Jet" combines the functions of a fungicide and an acaricide - it protects against diseases and pests - ticks.
- The drug is not phytotoxic, but has high biological activity;
- Simple and convenient use, low consumption.
- There are no restrictions on the use of the drug in crop rotation of various crops;
- Does not cause resistance if the instructions for use are followed.
- The use of the drug provides the plant with a meso-element - sulfur, the main element for increasing the protein and oil content in agricultural crops. Thus, a lack of sulfur leads to weaker plant development and, as a consequence, lower yield levels.
- The drug helps to increase resistance not only to diseases, but also to adverse weather factors (low temperatures, drought, etc.).
Disadvantages in general are associated only with restrictions on the use of the drug:
- Sulfur is effective only in a narrow temperature range (18-28°C). At temperatures below 20°C the drug is weakly effective, and at temperatures above 35°C it damages the leaves.
- At temperatures up to +18°C, maximum standards must be used, and at temperatures above +35°C, lower standards must be used.
- Do not use the drug when plants suffer from drought.
- Do not forget about the established restrictions on the combined use of Tiovit Jet with drugs based on and drugs with an alkaline reaction.
