Healthy harvest with the fungicidal drug Acrobat MC

Category: Pesticides Reading time: 6 min · Views: 4,108

Agrochemical Acrobat MC belongs to the group of systemic-local pesticides and fungicides that help fight plant diseases caused by pathogenic fungi and bacteria. Fungicide Acrobat is a modern, new-generation drug that meets all standards, so fungal infections that penetrate crop plants have no resistance (immunity) to it.

The drug reliably protects and suppresses mycelium and spores of even the most resistant populations of micropathogenic pathogens, inhibiting their growth and reproduction. It is biologically effective for treating healthy plants for preventive purposes, while preventing the incidence of diseases in vegetable crops and grapes, and protecting the crop from serious losses.

Characteristics of the fungicide Acrobat MC

Fungicide Acrobat MC consists of two active ingredients belonging to the chemical class of dithiocarbamates and cinnamic acid amides. These are active substances - contact mancozeb (600 g per 1 kg), and dimethomorph (90 g per 1 kg) - which have a local-systemic effect, which reliably protect the plant both from its outer part and inside it. The drug is presented in the form of water-dispersible granules (WDG), which are packaged in 10-kilogram packages.

Detailed description

It is worth starting the description of the product with a list of its advantages, its advantages in triple action. When treating vegetative plants, it has three types of effects:

  • preventive;
  • medicinal;
  • antispore-forming.

Acrobat TOP adheres well to the surface of leaves and stems and is highly resistant to precipitation.

Classification

The product belongs to the chemical class of moropholina. It includes low-toxic, highly effective fungicides, cinnamic acid derivatives - inhibitors of sterol synthesis.

The following substances have a complex effect (pesticide, fungicide):

  • dimethomorph (150 g/kg);
  • dithianone (350 g/kg).

Release form

Acrobat TOP is produced by the German company BASF SE in the form of water-dispersible brown granules, packaged in packages of 5 and 10 kg.

Acrobat TOP

Name of culture Disease Consumption Type of processing Number of treatments
grape mildew 1-1.5 kg/ha spraying 3

Mechanism of action

Modern antiseptics are used for the prevention and treatment of grape diseases caused by fungal spores:

  • mildew;
  • black spot;
  • rubella.

The product contains 2 components, each with its own mechanism of action. Together they provide a powerful protective effect.

Dimethomorph is a systemic substance that protects all parts of the plant from infection, penetrating into tissue structures. The substance has medicinal properties; it kills fungal mycelium within a few days after infection.

Diatinon is a contact substance that acts as an adhesive. Covers the surface of leaves, stems, berries with a film and serves as reliable protection against fungus. It is thanks to the action of diathinon that Acrobat is effective against rubella and black spot.

Mechanism of action of the drug

The active components of Acrobat MC prevent the development of the pathogen on the surface of the plant, as well as in its tissues. Dimethomorph leads to the death of the fungal mycelium within 2-3 days. The substance noticeably reduces sporulation, which can be seen as a white coating on the lower leaf side of the plant, and the formation of reproductive structures - oospores, which usually overwinter in the soil. Mancozeb promotes the death of the fungus upon direct contact. Thanks to this, the fungicide not only cleans the outer part of the plant, but also protects it from further penetration of spores.

Advantages of Acrobat MC

  • The fungicide not only prevents the disease, but also effectively treats it;
  • Protects plants from damage for a long time;
  • Equally effective against fungal diseases at all phases of development;
  • Does not allow new spores to form;
  • The immunity of fungal parasites to the fungicide Acrobat MC is absent;
  • Non-toxic to plants, as well as microorganisms and worms in the ground;
  • There are no restrictions on its use in the sanitary protection zone near fishery reservoirs;
  • It combines well with many pesticides, which allows it to be used in tank mixtures.

Composition and existing forms of release

The product is sold in the form of water-soluble granules, packaged in 1 and 10 kilogram bags. The drug contains two main components:

  • mancozeb in the amount of 600 grams per 1 kilogram of powder;
  • dimethomorph – 90 grams per 1 kilogram of the drug.

Mancozeb, when interacting with a pathogen, inhibits it, suppresses its development and destroys it. Afterwards the substance protects the crop from invasion.

Ask a Question

Dimethomorph enters the plant, acting from the inside. Thanks to this feature, the substance continues to function even in strong winds and heavy rainfall.

Instructions for use of fungicide

Before spraying cultivated plants, a working solution is prepared based on Acrobat MC. To do this, dissolve 20 g of the drug in 5 liters of ordinary water.

Note! It is better to carry out work in clear and calm weather. This will allow you to use the working solution as much as possible for its intended purpose. In windy weather, the solution will be sprayed onto other plants and spread unevenly on the surface of the crop.

The first treatment of plants is carried out regardless of whether there are signs of fungal diseases or not. Such spraying is an excellent preventative method to protect plants from pathogens. After 14 days from the date of the first treatment, it is recommended to spray the crops again. If you fully adhere to the requirements for the use of fungicide, then thanks to spraying, the plants will be reliably and permanently protected from fungus.

It is allowed to carry out manual work on potato plantings a week after spraying the crop; mechanical work can be carried out after 3 days.

Thus, by using Acrobat MC at the beginning of the season, the basis for active control of the stem and leaf forms of late blight is created.

Possible compatibility

To determine the compatibility of a fungicide with other chemicals, dilute a small amount of substances and check the reaction. If sediment appears, the drugs should not be used together.
