Description of the variety

Usually the plant reaches a height of 1.5-1.6 m. Do not be alarmed when you see leaves that look like potatoes - these are features of the variety. Brandy rose fruits are different:

  • flat-round shape;
  • clearly defined ribs;
  • medium density.

A ripe tomato turns pale pink. It has fleshy, juicy pulp with a sweetish taste, which is perfect for making salads.

The vast majority of fruits weigh 100-150 g, but individual giant specimens weighing 250-450 g have been recorded. The largest fruits grow on the lower and middle clusters. Ripening on the upper ones, they become smaller.

From the moment of emergence, fruiting begins after 4 months. It takes 3 months from planting seedlings to the ripening of the first fruits.

Features of cultivation and storage

Traditionally, they begin sowing seeds for seedlings in the 1st or 2nd decade of March. Choose light, fertile soil, add peat and compost.

The seed is sown to a depth of 1.5-2 cm, 1-2 seeds are placed in 1 hole. Cover the boxes with film and place them in a warm place until germination.

Algorithm for growing seedlings:

  • Hardening at 15 °C for 1 week.
  • Creation of a temperature regime of 22 °C.
  • Irrigation with water at 24 °C from a spray bottle.
  • Feeding with mineral fertilizers – “Krepysh”, “Kemira-universal”.

Store ripe tomatoes for 1.5-2 weeks in a cool, dark place.

The rules of care are quite standard. Here's a quick rundown of basic techniques for caring for plants with unlimited growth.

  1. Tomatoes are heat-loving plants and in most cases are grown in seedlings. For short growing seasons, seeds are sown for seedlings in mid-March.
  2. Seedlings emerge with the appearance of 2 permanent leaves in separate containers or boxes, with a planting pattern of 10x10 cm.
  3. Care comes down to timely watering, fertilizing and observing temperature and light conditions. All these measures will allow you to grow strong and healthy seedlings suitable for early planting in a greenhouse.
  4. Tomatoes are planted in a permanent place in mid-May, at 60 days of age. Planting density is no more than 3 bushes per square meter. Plants are tied to stakes, trellises or garden netting, providing support to the main stem.
  5. In large-fruited, tall tomatoes, the plant is formed into one stem. Remove shoots and dying leaves on the lower part of the plant, up to the first cluster. This promotes increased air circulation, preventing the possibility of fungal diseases.
  6. After the formation of 6-8 brushes, the growth of the bush is limited by cutting the shoot at the top point, through three leaves above the ovary. The stepsons growing from the axils of the leaves are regularly removed, leaving a stump of 3-4 cm.
  7. Watering should be moderate, followed by loosening the top layer. Loosening prevents the soil from drying out and improves air exchange. The stem is covered with earth to improve nutrition of the roots located at the base.
  8. The optimal temperature should be 24-26 degrees. It is advisable to maintain humidity no higher than 70%. This is achieved by regular ventilation. It is important to maintain the humidity level during the period of mass flowering.
  9. Tomatoes are fertilized once every three weeks, selecting the composition of the fertilizer depending on the condition of the plants and the stage of development.

Harvesting begins at the end of July and continues until the end of the growing season. Up to 5-6 kg of tomatoes are harvested from one plant. Green fruits ripen well at home.

Among the pink tomatoes there are both babies and giants. The fruits of some of them grow weighing 1 kg or more.

Tomatoes need to be hilled. Tomatoes with dense pulp are not watered often, only after the soil has completely dried. Plants should be tied and pinched, formed into 1-4 stems. For varieties with unlimited growth (indeterminate), topping should be done. To prevent the plant from wasting energy on growth, you need to pinch off the top. You also need to remove old leaves when ripe.

Today large-fruited tomatoes are very popular

Large-fruited pink tomatoes include:

  • Cleota Pink - a variety of American selection, tall, fruits 300-500 g;
  • Korneevsky pink - named after the breeder's surname, early, high-yielding, indeterminate, fruit weight 300-500 g;

Features of agricultural technology

Seeds are sown for seedlings 2 months before the planned movement of plants to a permanent place. After the appearance of 2 shaped leaves, they are planted in separate containers.

Form a tomato into 1 stem. The stepsons and lower leaves are torn off. This technique avoids shading of plants and enhances ventilation.

Regularly water and loosen the soil. The stem is covered with earth, which improves the nutrition of the upper roots. During the flowering period, it is important to maintain the humidity level. A decrease below 70% leads to shedding of the ovary and a significant reduction in yield. Feed the tomato once every 3 weeks. Fertilizer must correspond to the growing season.
