Olga Konopatkina, a resident of the Urals, shares her personal experience of planting pepper and tomato seeds for seedlings:
“A couple of years ago I lived in a small village in the Orenburg region on the border with Kazakhstan, and on my six hundred square meters I grew various types of greens, tomatoes, watermelons, potatoes, bell peppers, eggplants, onions, carrots and cabbage. The harvest was not always pleasing (Ural residents will understand me). A hot summer without rain and late (return) frosts in the spring forced us to adapt to conditions and experiment. Through trial and error I had to “grope” for favorable planting dates. Peppers and tomatoes in the Urals are planted exclusively as seedlings, and so that they do not die and result in an excellent harvest, they must be sown on time. When is it better, we'll figure it out
