Features of agricultural technology

Growing “Siberian Trump” is not difficult; it is an unpretentious tomato that does not require special attention and increased care. The main thing is to water the plants on time and know a few simple care tips.

  • Sowing seeds for seedlings should be done 50-60 days before planting in the ground. The optimal temperature, which will ensure friendly germination, is 23-25 degrees. When the sprouts become stronger, the temperature can be reduced to 20-22 degrees.
  • It should be planted in the ground in the first ten days of June, placing 3-4 plants per 1 square meter. m. Tomatoes of the “Siberian Trump” variety are not capricious and tolerate transplantation well, quickly adapt and grow. Therefore, two weeks after planting, it is worth helping the young bushes and making the first fertilizing with a complex mineral mixture.
  • During the growth process, it is recommended to form the bush into one or two stems. But after the formation of the first cluster, pinching of plants should be stopped.
  • It is also desirable for the bushes to be tied to a support. The characteristics of the fruits of this variety confirm this; even such strong bushes may not be able to withstand the weight of large tomatoes.

In the 2012 season, I again tested a huge number of tomato varieties, judge for yourself, out of 127 varieties, I had to leave only 26, and the rest were thrown into the trash, many varieties did not correspond to their names, many almost did not bear fruit. With this matter, I lost a lot of time and space where the crap grew, it would be better to plant good varieties in this place, but they take up a lot of space. But that’s it, stop there, I already have a lot of good and very good varieties, all proven and the best in terms of yield and so on, I won’t plant any more new varieties, what I have is enough for the eyes, but it’s a waste of time and I don’t want the place anymore. It’s evil even when I describe the variety, wow, what kind, but you plant it and look, and it’s natural rubbish, but that’s it, now I plant only the already selected varieties, there will be a sea of seeds and the mood will be very good.

And I have been choosing varieties for many years, collecting only the very best varieties and I advise everyone to plant them.

I think I have already fully described everything related to planting and caring for tomatoes.

But once again I will give two important pieces of advice:

- first, when planting tomatoes in place of each planting hole, put one fresh sprat, not salted, but fresh, I always go to the market and buy the largest sprat that is available, always fresh,

- second, mulch the circle of plants around the trunk with duckweed, if possible, the soil underneath is always moist and loose, closer to autumn, when watering is not needed, carefully dig it up with the soil.

Also water carefully, only at the root; try not to water the plant itself; be sure to water it with warm water. If you want to get seeds for yourself, then choose the best, largest fruits, try to let them hang on the plant longer, and after you even pick them, put them down and let them sit for as long as possible. Afterwards, squeeze the seeds into a jar with pulp and let them ferment, rinse with clean water and let them dry. Before planting, sprinkle the roots of the tomatoes with Maxim fertilizer from a spray bottle, also sprinkle the hole of the plant and mix, do not forget to throw one sprat fish into the hole, only fresh, then plant the plant in its place.

I can sell to anyone who wants the seeds of the tomatoes I have listed, as well as other varieties that are in my catalog, and which I myself have personally tried and experienced by observing them this season. To respond, be sure to include a self-addressed envelope.

Growing seedlings

In the northern regions, Siberian Trump is grown by seedlings; in the south, it is possible to plant seeds directly into the soil. First you need to prepare the seeds, pickle them, and soak them in a growth stimulator. This is done 55-60 days before the expected planting date. Then they are immersed in pre-prepared soil by about 1.5 cm, watered with warm water and covered. Sprouts appear after one or two weeks, after which the cover is removed and the young seedlings are watered every five days.

Picking into separate containers is mandatory; it is carried out when 1-2 leaves appear, there it will grow before planting in the beds. It is necessary to ensure that the plants are warm and have enough lighting. If necessary, seedlings are illuminated with photo lamps, which are placed at a distance of 10 cm.

Important! 24-hour lighting will not only do no good, but will also harm young plants.

Two weeks before transplanting, you can begin to carry out hardening procedures that will strengthen the plant; for this, containers with seedlings are taken outside for a while, gradually increasing their stay in the fresh air. The appearance of six leaves indicates readiness for transplantation, and one inflorescence may already have formed.

In the south, it is allowed to sow grains directly into the garden bed. In cold areas, Siberian Trump tomatoes are grown as seedlings:

  • If the seeds have not been pre-prepared by the manufacturer, they are sorted, treated and soaked in a growth stimulator. Sowing time is determined by the weather conditions of the region. Approximately 7 weeks are counted down until the end of the night frosts.
  • Tomato seeds are immersed in prepared soil to a depth of 1–1.5 cm. The boxes are covered with film, placed in a warm place and the soil is watered as it dries. The emergence of tomato seedlings is expected in 1–2 weeks, which depends on the quality and preparation of the seeds.
  • Tomato seedlings are grown in good lighting with phytolamps. The minimum distance from the light source to the seedlings is 10 cm. Tomatoes are provided with a daily light requirement for 16 hours. 24-hour lighting will not benefit tomatoes. At night the lamps are turned off.
  • After forming two leaves, the tomatoes are dropped into cups, where they continue to grow until planted in the garden. At this time, the plants are fed.
  • Tomato seedlings will be ready for planting after the formation of 6 adult leaves. Inflorescences may appear on individual plants.
  • Before planting, tomatoes are hardened for 1–2 weeks. The seedlings are taken outside into the shade for 1 hour. The stay time is increasing every day. After 5–6 days, expose the tomatoes to the sun.

When the long-awaited planting day arrives, the tomatoes are watered with warm water. A plant with a lump of damp soil will come out of the cup more easily.

Description

The variety “Siberian Trump” was bred by domestic breeders and entered into the state register of the Russian Federation as suitable for cultivation in open soil and film shelters. It belongs to the mid-season varieties; the fruits ripen already 110-115 days after the sprouts appear. The bush is of a determinate type, reaches a height of 80 cm. The stem is quite strong, medium leafy.

The fruits are large, from 300 to 500 grams; on the lower branches their weight can reach 700 grams.
Tomatoes are round in shape, slightly flattened with pronounced ribbing. At the stage of full ripening they turn crimson-red. The skin is dense, the flesh is juicy and fleshy, with a rich taste. “Siberian Trump” is suitable both for fresh consumption and for making juices, purees and sauces. The whole fruits are not canned, as they are very large and simply will not fit in a jar. But you can close it for the winter in the form of an assorted salad. Interesting! In the southern regions, the plant can grow up to 130 cm.
In the north and east of Russia, it is not always possible to grow tomatoes that have a long growing season, which is why breeders have developed varieties such as Siberian Trump. It is adapted to worsening weather conditions and will grow and bear fruit, regardless of the climate.

Advantages

  • Excellent presentation.
  • Stable harvest.
  • Adaptation to unfavorable conditions.
  • Can be stored for a long time.
  • Tolerates transportation well.
  • Great taste.

shortcomings were noticed.

Characteristics of the Siberian Trump tomato

Like most artificially bred varieties, this type of tomato has improved resistance to fungal diseases. Other characteristics of the tomato include impressive yield, low maintenance requirements and the ability to withstand long periods of drought and frost.

Tomato yield Siberian trump and fruiting

The strongest argument for growing this variety in your garden or garden plot is their incredible productivity. Each Siberian Trump tomato bush is capable of producing a harvest of 7-9 kg. When planting 4 plants per 1 sq. m. up to 35-40 kg are often removed from them. In greenhouse conditions, the yield can reach up to 50-60 kg per square meter. m.

From each bush you can harvest up to 9 kg of tomatoes

The fruits are distinguished by their simultaneous ripening. Moreover, from the moment of planting the seeds to full maturity it is about 110 days. The active fruiting period lasts until the onset of the first cold weather. If the autumn period is warm, the harvest can be harvested until the beginning of October.

Experienced gardeners recommend harvesting tomatoes in a slightly unripe state. This will give the plant more strength for further growing season. The collected tomatoes are stored in a dark place until they are fully ripe. Harvesting the most ripe fruits is recommended only if they are consumed as soon as possible or as an ingredient for preparations.

Area of application of fruits

When harvested in a state of technical maturity, the skin of tomatoes remains strong and lends itself well to transportation. Many summer residents grow this variety for sale, delighting buyers with the excellent gastronomic properties of the fruit. Tomatoes are used for various salads and to make tomato paste. As an ingredient for preparations, Siberian Trump is used only in composite dishes, such as lecho and caviar.

Resistance to diseases and pests

Thanks to the achievements of modern breeding, new varieties most often have enhanced immunity to most diseases. Siberian Trump is absolutely immune to blossom end rot and fusarium. But tomatoes are prone to late blight, but the disease can be easily minimized by periodically treating the bushes with a special mixture.

Among the pests of the Siberian Trump, gardeners are most often annoyed by aphids and whiteflies. These insects damage young shoots of the plant, causing harm to fresh leaves and ovaries. When growing a variety in central Russia, it is necessary to pay special attention to the colonies of the Colorado potato beetle.

Caring for tomatoes in open ground

The more attention you pay to the plant, the higher the yield. Tomatoes grow on spreading and dense bushes with a height of 80 cm. The first fruits are formed after 110 days. Tomatoes are watered as the top layer dries. It is important not to let the plant dry out until round, slightly flattened fruits form, otherwise you may not get a high yield.

When tomatoes are fully formed, lack of moisture leads to cracking of the fruit. Experienced gardeners, when describing tomatoes, point to the sweet pulp having a dense consistency. They advise watering the plant in the evening at the root. Sometimes ash is added to the water at the rate of 1 tbsp. l. on a bucket of water, after watering, loosen the soil.

The ovary of tomatoes appears regardless of weather conditions. If the bush bears fruit abundantly, supports are installed for low-growing tomatoes. Weeding should be combined with loosening the soil, as weeds inhibit the development of the root system. The bush has a height of 50-70 cm and needs to be formed only if several main stems grow.

Yield large-fruited tomatoes of Siberian selection for greenhouses

Of course, not all varieties can be found on the market; some are quite rare. The way out of this situation is to purchase seeds of Siberian selection of the most productive varieties by mail. They are relatively inexpensive, and they also have a number of advantages when grown in Siberian conditions.

Beauty of Siberia

The species is early ripening, which means it can be grown long before summer. The bush reaches a height of 1.5 m, a garter is required. A special feature is the method of planting - mainly in greenhouses. High-quality fertilizer and proper care are necessary.

A ripe specimen of the variety actually reaches 900 g-1 kg.

Nobleman

Highly resistant to plant diseases, unpretentious and easily tolerates temperature changes.

In fact, the most popular among Siberians. A ripe tomato grows up to 0.5 kg. The bush is small in size, 80 cm-1 m high.

Sweet taste, has sour notes. The advantages include good transportability.

Sensei

Possibility of growing both in warm and cold regions.

The harvest ripens until the first frost, after which it should be transferred to room temperature and it will continue its process.

Eagle beak

So named because of the shape characteristic of ripe fruits. Elongated at the end, it resembles the beak of a bird. This variety also grows to unlimited sizes. However, the height of the bush is much more than 2 m.

St. Andrew's surprise

Planting of seeds begins in mid-March. It has earned its uniqueness in comparison with others, thanks to its low lighting requirements.

It is enough to keep boxes with bushes on the windowsill.

Distinctive features: unpretentious, high taste.

Eagle beak

No, not the same one. This is a completely different variety, although there are still similarities. The shape also resembles the beak of a famous bird.

Height up to 1.5 m, weight reaches 800 g, cultivation is mainly recommended in open ground.

Golden domes

Must be grown in a greenhouse. The color is golden, sometimes more orange. Requires a garter.

Quite a large variety, with a non-distinctive bush size, the weight of the fruit reaches almost a kilogram.

If you follow all the nuances of cultivation and high-quality fertilizer, you can achieve a mass of an individual specimen of 400 g.

Goose egg

Carpal variety, distinguished by a good harvest. Reaches up to 2 m, with each tomato weighing up to 300 g.

The color when ripe is dark, pinkish. May also be bright red.

Giant Novikova

It has a very sweet taste and large size.

In individual conditions, with all the nuances observed, the height reaches 2 meters, the weight of one tomato is up to 1 kg.

Novosibirsk hit

Recently developed variety. Physical data does not stand out, the shape is round, red. They perform well when stored in appropriate conditions and when necessary for transportation.

Transplanting to beds

On the day of planting, water them with warm water; this will help to easily pull the seedlings with damp soil out of the cups. The choice of site must be approached with all responsibility, despite the resistance to bad weather conditions, tomatoes love light and sunlight. You should not plant tomatoes after nightshade crops, as they have common diseases. Usually the soil is prepared in the fall, for this purpose organic fertilizers are added to it and dug up, but if it doesn’t work out, don’t worry. You can fertilize it two weeks before planting the tomatoes. The holes are dug, leaving a distance of 50 cm between them; it is optimal to leave 70 cm between the rows. 3-4 bushes are planted per 1 square meter.
