Description and characteristics of the variety

Tomato Infinity F1 is an indeterminate tall hybrid. The bushes are moderately spreading and branched. 8-10 tomatoes are tied on fruiting clusters.

Ripening dates are early - 91-95 days from germination.

Characteristics of the Infinity tomato from Siberian Garden:

  • average weight of tomatoes 250-270 g;
  • the weight of the largest fruits reaches 300-400 g;
  • the flesh is dense, but tender;
  • there are from 6 to 12 seed chambers;
  • taste with a predominance of sweetness over sourness.

Main properties of the variety

Tomatoes belong to the category of semi-determinate and medium-branched varieties. The bushes are very tall, reaching a height of 200 cm. On the one hand, this requires the installation of powerful supports, on the other hand, tomatoes are easy to collect, and they are protected from earth pests and soil dampness. The trunk is thick and strong, the branches are spreading. The leaves are medium sized and bright green. The aroma of the tops is pleasant, with a characteristic tomato and spicy smell.

Ripe fruits reach a weight of 250-300 g and are covered with thin red skin. The shape of the tomatoes is round, slightly ribbed. Inside they are divided into several chambers, the number of which varies between 4-8. Infinity's yield is quite high. With proper care, up to 8 kg of beautiful and large tomatoes can be harvested from the bush.

Tomatoes are eaten as cheeses, as slices and in salads. Used to prepare gravy, ketchup and various pickles. When canning, small fruits are rolled into jars, and large ones are processed into juice. Tomatoes tolerate transportation and storage well. In a cold and dark room they can lie for up to 3 months without spoiling.

Ripening begins 90-105 days after planting the seeds. Planting in a greenhouse is done in April, and in open ground in May-June, when stable warm weather sets in. Harvesting ends in August-September before the onset of night frosts.

Features of cultivation and storage

The hybrid is recommended for growing:

  • in greenhouse conditions in temperate zones and northern latitudes;
  • in open beds in the Volga region and North Caucasus.

Seedlings are planted in beds at the age of 55-60 days. The soil is fertilized in advance with compost and phosphorus-potassium mixtures.

3 bushes are planted per 1 m2. Holes 30 cm deep are placed at a distance of 50 cm. The distance between rows is 60 cm.

Key points for care:

  • moderate watering 3 times a week;
  • mulching with a layer of 8-10 cm, green manure, hay, and straw are used for mulch;
  • feeding with liquid organic matter and minerals.

The bushes have 1-2 shoots, they are pruned once every 10 days, leaving stumps from 2 to 4 cm.

The advantages of Infiniti tomatoes are as follows:

  1. Heat and drought resistance. Tomatoes easily tolerate prolonged high temperatures, which last for months in the southern regions of the country.
  2. High yield. It is appreciated by summer residents and farmers. During the season, farmers receive a good profit.
  3. Versatility. Tomatoes are used in cooking in various forms, as they have excellent taste characteristics.
  4. Genetically instilled immunity to infectious diseases. Tomatoes practically do not get sick during the period of ripening and fruiting.
  5. Transportability and long shelf life.

This variety also has its disadvantages. The main one is the need for a garter. The supports must be strong to withstand the weight of heavy fruits and strong gusts of wind. Tomatoes do not tolerate low temperatures well. One cold night can destroy all the plants.

The plant needs regular feeding. When the supply of nutrients is reduced, fruit set stops.

Description of the high-yielding tomato Infiniti f1, reviews and properties of the variety

In cold climates, the early-ripening Infinity tomato variety grows best in greenhouse conditions, and does not even require additional heating. In warmer zones it can be safely grown in open ground. Breeders bred this plant for earlier ripening, while at the same time trying to achieve high yields. They succeeded, since one bush produces even more than 7 kg of tomatoes.

It tolerates hot weather quite easily, but does not tolerate temperatures below 15 degrees very well. The plant belongs to the semi-determinate category. The average height of the bush is up to 170 cm, but can reach 190 cm. The bush itself is of medium branching. To achieve better yields, pinching is necessary, as is tying the stems.

The variety is grown not only by gardeners, but also by entrepreneurs for wholesale sales, since tomatoes usually ripen in one period, and from the day the seeds germinate they can be harvested three months later. Active fruiting continues for 2 to 2.5 months, and only with the advent of the first noticeable cold weather do they cease to bear fruit.

Ildi tomato - description and characteristics of the variety

When choosing tomatoes for their plot, gardeners, first of all, rely on varietal or hybrid characteristics. Productivity is the most important criterion on which the quantity and quality of the harvest depends. Sometimes it can be difficult to choose the right option from the rich variety of tomatoes for open ground and greenhouses. Then varieties are selected depending on the growing region, ripening period, degree of disease resistance and other factors.

A huge number of species with excellent yields are intended for growing vegetables in the open air. Low-growing bushes with large fruits are one of the advantages of tomatoes for the soil. Such heat-loving plants are easier to care for and do not require complex agricultural practices.

According to ripening period

Tomatoes, like other vegetable crops, are characterized by different ripening periods, from early to late.

Ripening periodRipening of fruits after the appearance of the first shootsgeneral characteristicsThe most productive tomatoes (2020)
Ultra-early ripeningOn day 80-85The fruits are small, juicy, and low in sugar. The height of the bush is no more than 50 cm. Not suitable for preservation. Little Red Riding Hood, Pride of Russia, Benito, Superstar, Valentina, Marisha, Maksimka

Late ripeningOn day 120-130Excellent fruit taste, high yield, universal purpose. Good keeping quality and transportability of fruits Giraffe, Cosmonaut Volkov, Titan, Rio Grande, Russian size, King of Kings, Rocket, Premier

The ripening time, color and shape of tomatoes depends on the variety.

Usually early-ripening vegetables with not large fruits and not a large harvest, but with a quick, friendly yield of ripe tomatoes. Mid-season ones also have medium sizes. Late ones are usually difficult to care for, but it is among them that you can find champions in weight, but there are not many such beauties on the bush.

Every year, breeders create new species with high quality indicators. In stores you can buy specialized varieties of tomatoes designed for growing in certain climatic conditions. Classification by regions of Russia:

  • for the Moscow region: Champion, Sweet Bunch, Honey, Pink Elephant, Fireworks, Bull's forehead;
  • for the southern regions: Torch, Novice, Titan, Winner, Bison, Ermak, Gift, Mikado;
  • for the middle zone: Bull's Heart, Black Prince, Uzbek (Yusupov), Moskvichka, Snowdrop, Big Brother, Spasskaya Tower;

  • for the far north: Snowy Tale, Ballerina, Ladyfingers, Berdsky Large, Countryman, Oak, Gina.

An unpredictable, cold or, conversely, excessively warm climate is not a reason to refuse to grow tomatoes in open ground. Thanks to selection, varieties have been developed that grow and develop well in any terrain.

To obtain a rich harvest, you need to choose tomato varieties not only with the appropriate characteristics. It is necessary that this criterion be supplemented by such an indicator as disease resistance.

Late blight, root rot, tobacco mosaic, cladosporiosis are diseases that most often affect plantings of heat-loving crops.

Cherries are sweet, small tomatoes that grow well both outdoors and in a greenhouse, but small-fruited vegetables tend to be more productive in protected beds. Magic Harp F1 and Yellow Caramel F1 are hybrids whose fruit weight does not exceed 25 g.

When choosing a vegetable for a greenhouse, many rightly give preference to tall and high-yielding varieties. But low-growing plants, which usually have an early ripening period, as well as mid-ripening tomatoes, are also excellent for polycarbonate shelters in all regions of Russia.

For open ground, breeders also offer species with high yields of hybrid origin; they are resistant to diseases and temperature changes. The best tomato varieties of 2020:

If the designation on a bag of planting material is F1 – hybrids of tomatoes (or other plants) of the first generation, F2 – of the second, and so on.

Exceptional taste, fruit weight, constant yield, disease resistance, adaptation to weather conditions are the advantages of hybrids over tomato varieties.

Reviews

My favorite tomato variety in 2021 is Idol, medium-sized, very tasty, productive. I planted seedlings on March 20, the first fruit was picked on June 20. The bushes bear fruit for 3 months. The most successful cherry variety is Black Cherry, very tasty and productive, the most favorite tomato of children.

I like the fruits to be large and regular in shape. Therefore, I prefer the varieties Early Rose, Peach, Heavyweight of Siberia and Pink Fig. This year I raised Grandma's Secret. The bush is determinate, the average height is 180 cm. I have never produced kilogram fruits, the maximum weight is 700-800 g. Probably this is because I allow the bush to form into two or three stems.

I never conduct systematic analysis. I analyze when the tomatoes are already picked. I love large, sugary berries. I really like the Pink Giant in taste, but the yield is low. So far, my requirements are relatively met by 2 varieties - Pink Andromeda and Mazarin. Over time (I’m a novice gardener) I’m thinking of finding the optimal variety or hybrid of tomatoes.

Now I mainly grow tomatoes in my dacha. About 20 different varieties. Red, yellow, brown, black. Beauty! Cherry, Cream, Ox heart. Different sizes, different tastes, different ripening periods - from May to October. The main thing is that the weather is warm. I’m not keen on canning, so we use fresh vegetables. If the harvest is good, I give the remaining tomatoes to relatives.

Stability of the harvest from year to year, the ability to adapt to weather conditions, resistance to pests and diseases are important criteria for a reliable tomato variety. In 2021, you can plant both time-tested tomatoes and new elite varieties. The choice depends only on the preferences of gardeners.

Productivity of the variety

The work of breeders aimed at creating hybrids makes it possible to obtain tomatoes with high yields, commercial characteristics of fruits and resistance to diseases and stress.

Productivity of the variety

Sowing seedlings

Before sowing seeds for seedlings, it is necessary to select defective and unsuitable seeds for planting.

Those who have grown tomatoes and have some experience are advised to keep the seeds in the refrigerator for 3 days before planting and undergo light hardening. Before planting, soak the seeds for 10–15 hours. You can add a few drops of aloe juice to the water, which helps disinfect the seeds from external and internal parasites.

Seedlings can be sown in separate glasses or special container cells. Fill the container with peat and compact it well.

Water the soil with warm water with added fertilizer. Plant one seed in each glass-cell. Cover the seeds with soil on top, compact them again and water them. Cover the container with glass and place in a warm place.

Characteristics and description of Heinz tomato hybrids, cultivation rules

A hybrid of American selection, the Heinz tomato has the best characteristics and is suitable for cultivation on an industrial scale. Tomatoes are used for processing into sauces, ketchups and other products.

Advantages of a hybrid

The fruits of a common vegetable crop have a wide range of uses and are an ingredient in many culinary dishes. Tomato seeds developed by Heinz provide the opportunity to produce various products from tomatoes without using artificial additives and preservatives.

Heinz tomatoes are resistant to a number of diseases, as well as cold. During the growth process, the fruits do not crack and withstand transportation well over distances. The absence of overripening allows harvesting at the same time, and on an industrial scale, using a mechanical harvesting method.

The bushes of the plant are powerful, the fruits are well covered with leaves. Productivity reaches 12-13 kg per 1 m². Rapid ripening (more than 90% of fruits) allows mechanical harvesting. The characteristics of a tomato indicate the average requirements for nitrogen content in the soil.

The fruits are shaped like plums, are hard, and retain their marketability and taste for a long time. The color of the tomato is intense red without a green spot near the stalk, weight is 75-80 g. The tomato is intended for processing and fresh consumption.

Tomato Heinz 2206 belongs to the ultra-early varieties; fruiting occurs 85 days after germination. The tomato is used for canning whole fruits. The compact plant is resistant to elevated temperatures, diseases, and requires nitrogen fertilizing.

The shape of the fruit is oval, the color is intense red, the weight is 65-75 g. The crop yield reaches 9-11 kg per 1 m². The description of the tomato indicates excellent taste.

Characteristics

Infinity tomatoes can be subjected to any culinary processing or consumed fresh as a component of salads. It is not used for canning in its entirety, since due to its large size, the entire fruit will not fit through the neck of the jar.
