Characteristics and description of the variety

The Lisa variety tomato belongs to the ultra-early standard hybrids. From the first sprouting of seedlings to the mass harvest, 85-90 days pass. The variety has proven itself well in small farm and large-scale production. Recommended growing areas: open and closed ground.

Main characteristics and description of the variety:

  1. The plant is a determinate species, 90-100 cm high.
  2. The bush is compact, medium leafy.
  3. The leaves are medium sized, dark green in color.
  4. The inflorescences are simple, loose, collected from 6 to 12 large flowers.
  5. Pedicel with articulation.
  6. The number of nests on one shoot is 4-5.

Advantages and disadvantages

Lisa is popular with beginners, as well as owners of large farms. And all thanks to the unpretentiousness, ease of cultivation, and beauty of the tomato. Main characteristics loved by gardeners:

  1. The fruits ripen in open ground. This is a big advantage over greenhouse bushes. A greenhouse takes up a lot of space and requires financial investment and maintenance. This is not suitable for all gardeners. Buying a greenhouse is not profitable for a novice gardener. The Lisa variety is recommended for open plantings; it feels comfortable in the fresh air.
  2. Unpretentiousness. The bushes withstand the vagaries of nature. They rarely get sick and have strong immunity.
  3. Plants take up little space due to the dense planting allowed. It is allowed to place up to 6 bushes on one square meter.
  4. High yield. One plant bears up to 2 kg of fruit. This is above average. Tomatoes ripen quickly.
  5. The fruits of the variety differ in the same size. The skin is dense, without cracks or dark spots. For their versatility and presentation, these tomatoes are loved by farms and large-scale production. Ordinary housewives also rejoice in the beauty of vegetables. Tomatoes are easy to preserve. They tolerate transportation well due to their elastic skin.

There are few disadvantages, they can be easily avoided by following the care recommendations. Disadvantages include:

  1. Branches and stems may break off under the weight of the tomato. If you violate the advice on plant formation and tying, then this disaster will not be avoided. There are a lot of tomatoes on one branch, the bunch is powerful and heavy. The plant may not be able to withstand the weight of the fruit if measures are not taken.
  2. The fruits ripen at the same time. This shortens the harvest time.

These are all the nuances, there are very few of them, they will not cause much inconvenience. And numerous advantages completely cover them.

Description of fruits

The peculiarities of the variety are that it is endowed with a friendly inflorescence and fruit set. In addition, all his tomatoes are of the same structure and the same size, which is quite valuable in industrial production.

General description of the fruit:

  • shape – cuboid;
  • average weight – 110-120 g;
  • skin – smooth, medium-dense;
  • color – orange-red;
  • pulp – tender, four-chambered;
  • taste – good consumer quality.

Tomato Elizaveta is intended for fresh consumption and processing. Higher quality fruits are observed in their own juice.

Advantages and disadvantages of the variety

Hybrid Lisa, like all fruit crops, has its pros and cons.

The advantages of culture include the following indicators:

  • high productivity;
  • long fruiting;
  • large fruit;
  • disease resistance;
  • ease of care;
  • resistance to temperature changes.

In addition, the variety has high taste and technological qualities.

The vegetable crop has no major disadvantages. The only disadvantage of this variety is that it requires careful transportation over long distances.

It is worth paying attention: if you make an effort, Lisa can grow and bear fruit well at home.

Features of cultivation

Despite the fact that the Lisa tomato variety is an unpretentious plant, agricultural technology affects its tomato quality.

Let's consider the basic care requirements:

  1. To prevent the bush from cracking during growth, it is recommended to form it into 2 stems.
  2. The plant requires regular watering, but it does not tolerate swampy soil.
  3. As expert reviews have shown, the crop is responsive to potash and phosphate fertilizers.
  4. To avoid breaking the bushes due to the weight of the fruit, it is recommended to tie it to a support.
  5. To prevent the plant from growing, pinching and removal of excess foliage and shoots is required.

The recommended planting scheme is 4 bushes per 1 sq. m.

By following these simple agricultural practices, the Lisa variety will delight every gardener with a high yield of beautiful tomatoes. And thanks to their universal purpose, everyone can get dishes of high taste from them, be it a light salad or winter canning.

Features of agricultural technology

High plant productivity depends on strict adherence to agricultural technology. The manufacturer suggests growing bushes in the garden in open ground.

Attention! Planting in a greenhouse will not cause harm if you remember to ventilate it often and beware of high humidity.

For the Lisa tomato variety, follow the recommendations:

  1. The bushes are formed into two stems. Up to 13 fruits ripen on one branch. Even though the stems are thick, this may not be enough. Form them in pairs, then you can avoid fractures.
  2. The above species has spreading branches; provide support for them.
  3. We remove excess foliage.
  4. Tomatoes are resistant to various natural conditions, but stagnation of moisture in the soil is detrimental to the root system of a garden crop. To avoid bush disease, the soil is thoroughly loosened.
  5. Particular attention should be paid to fertilizing. A successful harvest depends on this. The favorites of this type of tomato are potassium and phosphorus. Before use, carefully read the instructions on the package.

Please note that there are few requirements for agricultural technology, all of them are easy to apply in practice. By following them, you will reap healthy, tasty fruits.

Growing tomatoes

The hybrid can be grown in open ground, a greenhouse, a greenhouse and even on a balcony. If agricultural technology is followed, the conditions of maintenance do not affect the yield.

How to prepare seeds?

Hybrid seeds have increased germination. Therefore, pre-planting preparation is carried out according to an abbreviated scheme :

  1. Etching in hydrogen peroxide for 20 minutes. The procedure destroys most pathogenic bacteria and fungi on the surface of the seeds;
  2. Soaking in melt water for 24 hours before planting.

Sowing seed material

Seedlings are grown in universal soil for tomatoes and peppers. Sowing is carried out 50 days before planting in a permanent place. The seeds are distributed over the surface of the substrate and sprinkled with 1 cm of peat.

Description of cherry tomato

The Elizabeth hybrid was introduced to the agricultural farming community in 2017. The same year, the tomato was certified by the State Register and approved for growing private household plots in open ground and under film covers in all regions of the Russian Federation.

The plant is indeterminate (2 m or more), the leaves are long, not spreading. The inflorescences are intermediate, the first one is formed above the 8th leaf. The internodes are short, and the knotting rate is very high - a new brush is formed every 12-15 cm. Each cluster contains 20 or more neat ovoid tomatoes (see photo). The weight of one cherry does not exceed 30 g, and more often 18-20 g. The unripe fruits are green in color with a dark spot; when ripe, the tomatoes take on a juicy red tint. The harvest from the lower tiers of bushes can be harvested after 90-95 days from the full opening of the cotyledons.

Attention! The Elizabeth hybrid is one of the rare representatives of cherry tomatoes with a very high yield - 3-5 kg of tomatoes can be harvested from one bush.

When cut, the tomato is bright crimson, fleshy, two-chambered, with very few seeds. The taste is dominated by sugar content.

Bush care

Caring for the Cherry Lisa hybrid includes activities:

  • Pruning into 2 stems. Side shoots are removed when they reach a length of 4 cm by breaking off “on a stump”;
  • Deep watering (at least 35 cm deep). Water 1 to 4 times a week depending on the weather. At the same time, it is important to ensure that the water does not stagnate in the garden bed, otherwise the roots of the plant will begin to rot;
  • Installing supports for fruit clusters and tying the main stems to trellises or the greenhouse frame;
  • Fertilize once every two weeks with an emphasis on fertilizers containing potassium and phosphorus.

Features of cultivation, planting and care

We recommend sowing the seeds of this tomato for seedlings 55-60 days before the intended planting in the ground. Seedlings dive at the stage of appearance of the second true leaf. When planting seedlings in a permanent place per 1 sq. m place up to 6 plants.

Further care for tomatoes consists of timely watering, fertilizing (if necessary), removing weeds, pinching and preventive measures to protect the crop from diseases and pests.

You can see other interesting varieties and hybrids of tomatoes with photos, descriptions and reviews in our Tomato Catalog. Enjoy watching.

If you grew Lisa tomatoes, please write whether you liked them or not. What was the yield and taste of fruits like in your climate? How do you assess a variety's resistance to disease? If possible, attach to your review a photo of the entire bush as a whole or individual fruits you grew.

Your reviews of the Lisa tomato and additions to the description will help many gardeners evaluate this variety more objectively and decide whether it is worth planting or not.

This is a natural variety of tomato. Therefore, we recommend taking seeds from a ripe fruit and using them for planting in subsequent seasons.
