Multi-colored thick-walled sweet hybrids of peppers are very popular among gardeners. The taste of their fruits is richer than that of Bulgarian varieties; sliced vegetables or fresh salad look elegant and arouse appetite. The color of vegetables indicates their nutrient content; orange vegetables are especially rich in β-carotene. This plant pigment is a precursor to vitamin A, a powerful antioxidant. Pepper Orange Miracle is beautiful, tasty and healthy. It also produces a good harvest and does not require special care.

Characteristics of the variety and description of the fruits

The Orange Miracle sweet pepper was included in the State Register in 2012. The originator of the hybrid was agro. It has been tested and recommended for cultivation in gardening farms throughout Russia.

Sometimes another hybrid is confused with the Orange Wonder - the Orange Wonder pepper. In fact, these are different varieties, with the first being indeterminate, the second with limited growth. Probably the misunderstanding is caused by the fact that orange wonder (transcription - orange wonder) is translated from English into Russian as “orange miracle”.

Description of the variety

Orange miracle F1 is an indeterminate pepper, in a greenhouse it can reach 1.5-2 m without topping. It forms a powerful medium-leaf bush with strong shoots and a closed compact crown.

In open ground it grows lower, but still requires staking. Otherwise, unable to withstand the weight of the fruit, the main trunk may break.

Fruit characteristics

The peppers of the hybrid Orange Miracle are large, cube-shaped, the characteristics of the variety indicate:

  • size – 11x11 cm;
  • weight – 200-220 g.

As reviews from gardeners and photos show, under favorable conditions, the lower fruits can be larger. Their enlargement is facilitated by the timely removal of the inhibitor bud, the correct formation of the bush and the normalization of the ovaries.

At the stage of technical ripeness, the color of the pepper is dark green. Biological (or consumer) maturity occurs when the vegetable turns deep orange. The vegetable has 3-4 clearly defined nests, a concave nose, and a wall of 8-9 mm.

The taste of the fruits of the Orange Miracle is excellent - sweet, moderately rich, with a pleasant characteristic aroma, which is noted in all descriptions of the variety.

It is not recommended to collect seeds - they will, of course, sprout, but what will grow is unknown.

The purpose of peppers is universal. They are used to make slices, fresh salads, winter preparations, fried, boiled, baked in the oven and grilled, and stuffed.

Productivity and fruiting time

Orange miracle is an early pepper with an extended fruiting period. Passes from the moment the seeds peck to maturity:

  • technical – 100-110 days;
  • biological – 120-130 days.

It is recommended to collect the Orange Miracle pepper no earlier than at the stage of removable ripeness - strokes of the main color will appear on the green sides. Then the vegetables will go perfectly indoors while maintaining their consumer and commercial qualities.

The yield when formed into 2-3 stems with sufficient care reaches from 1 square. m:

  • in a greenhouse - up to 12 kg;
  • under film cover - about 10 kg;
  • in the garden - 8-9 kg.

Advantages and disadvantages

Key advantages of this variety:

  • precocity. The fruits ripen on the 105th day immediately after the shoots appear. Important! If good conditions are provided, the ripening period can be only up to 90 days;
  • does not require specific care and is easily grown in various areas: in open soil, in greenhouses, in greenhouses;
  • tolerates negative environmental factors quite well (for example, temperature fluctuations or heavy rainfall);
  • The fruits have a very pleasant and rich taste, for which gardeners love this pepper so much;
  • can be stored for quite a long time without loss of external qualities of the fruit;
  • resistance to certain types of diseases (for example, tobacco-type mosaic).

Key disadvantages:

  • bushes can grow chaotically if they are not regulated;
  • the plant requires careful watering, especially during dry periods.

Similar varieties and hybrids

Peppers with large, thick-walled, cube-shaped orange fruits are similar to the Orange Miracle:

  1. Orange Wonder F1. Early, determinate, 90-110 cm high, has complex disease resistance. The fruits are dense, cubic, orange, weighing up to 250 g each, with a wall 1 cm thick. The hybrid is very tasty, productive, yields from 1 sq. m 7-12 kg.
  2. Allar F1. Early ripening, resistant to a number of diseases, seeds germinate well, yield per sq. m up to 14 kg. Pods weighing up to 240 g, cubic shape, orange, tasty, wall 7-9 mm. Bush height 50 cm.
  3. Big mom. Variety, early, productive (7 kg per sq. m), with cubic orange-colored fruits, weighing up to 200 g, wall 7-8 mm. Bush about 70 cm high.
  4. Variety Orange bull. An early cultivar with cubic or rectangular fleshy fruits. The average weight of peppers is 250 g, some reach 300-400 g, the wall is 1 cm. The height of the bush is 80-110 cm, the yield is from 7 to 14 kg, depending on the planting site and conditions.

Orange miracle pepper begins to bear fruit early, has complex resistance to major crop diseases, and is easy to care for. This, as well as high yield and excellent taste, make it one of the best modern thick-walled hybrids.

Features of cultivation

Due to the early ripeness of the hybrid, it can be grown for seedlings at different times depending on where you are going to grow it. If you have the opportunity to plant it in a greenhouse under cover to obtain an extra-early harvest in late spring - early summer, then you can start growing seedlings in February.

If your plans are to grow peppers in ordinary beds or, at most, under covering arches, then there is no point in sowing the seeds of the Orange miracle for seedlings before March, since before planting the seedlings can become very overgrown and will be painful to plant in the ground.

The seeds of this hybrid have good germination, like most Dutch hybrids. As a rule, they do not need any additional processing before sowing, as they are often processed by the manufacturer. After emergence, pepper seedlings must be placed in cooler conditions (not higher than +20°C) to allow the root system to grow well.

It is advisable to pick individual pots when two true leaves appear. Since the Orange Miracle pepper has great growth power, it is better to prepare fairly large cups for replanting, so that when planted in the ground, each plant is in a container with a volume of about 1 liter.

For the same reason, no more than three Orange Miracle pepper bushes are placed on one square meter or they are planted according to a 50x70 cm pattern. Powerful bushes usually do not need either supports or garters.

The most important agronomic technique for obtaining large yields of juicy and tasty peppers is regular watering and fertilizing. On hot days, peppers need daily watering, preferably not with cold, settled water.

The first feeding is carried out another week after picking while growing seedlings. Then, a few days after planting the pepper plants in the ground, during the formation of buds and at the end of flowering.

Advice! After harvesting the first wave of the harvest, you can try feeding the peppers again so that they have time to set and form a new batch of fruits.

The first fertilizing can be carried out with a complex fertilizer with approximately equal content of the main elements. All subsequent solutions for feeding peppers should contain a minimum amount of nitrogen and a maximum variety of microelements.

Reviews

This variety has long been known in Russia and has been tried by a huge number of gardeners. Mostly reviews about this variety are positive. Here's what experienced gardeners say:

  • Veniamin, 32 years old: I have tried many hybrid varieties of peppers, they are all very good, because they contain the strongest aspects of the varieties on the basis of which they were produced. But I like this variety the most, much more than the others. He is not very whimsical and fully justifies all the time spent on himself. If you provide it with all the necessary conditions, it ripens very, very early, produces crops in huge quantities, and its taste is not equal to that of others. These peppers can be eaten fresh or used in a wide variety of dishes.
  • Svetlana, 46 years old: my good friend brought me this variety to try about five years ago. And for several years now I have been growing this pepper because it is wonderful. It is thick, and tasty, and juicy... and it has a lot of fruits, and the ripening period is early. And what makes me especially happy is that it doesn’t need any special conditions for development, the main thing is to observe the frequency of watering, otherwise the pepper does everything on its own, without any problems with diseases. All that remains is to collect the fruits.

Pepper Orange Miracle: reviews from summer residents

Gardeners who grow this variety on their plots love it for the juiciness of its fruits, which, in addition to their taste, are excellent for canning, for example, making lecho or stuffing. The plant itself is resistant to diseases and pests, the seedlings are hardy and take root very well after planting.

It is sometimes noted that the fruits do not always have a cuboid shape, but sometimes grow slightly elongated with an interesting spout at the end. Many people really like the aroma and increased sweetness of these peppers. In terms of yield parameters, the following was observed: on average, 8–10 peppercorns ripen on one bush. The record is considered to be the setting and, naturally, ripening of 12 peppers.

Where to buy seeds of the Orange Miracle variety

Purchasing seeds of this variety will not cause any special problems. The seeds of the Orange miracle are produced by the agricultural companies Aelita, Search, Harvest of Good Luck, Altai Seeds, AelitaAgro and others. They can be found in online stores, large hypermarkets, and small local specialty shops. The price of a bag varies between 20-30 rubles.

The only thing you need to pay attention to when purchasing is that some agricultural companies (Semko, Ural Summer Resident) sell the hybrid Orange Miracle F1. The varietal qualities of the hybrid will be better, but collecting the seeds yourself in order to further cultivate this pepper will not work. The price of such a bag will also be approximately twice as high, around 60-70 rubles.

Pepper Orange Miracle: description of agricultural cultivation techniques

The time is approaching for sowing seeds for seedlings. Orange miracle, as an early ripening variety, is best sown from the end of February. In order not to once again disturb the sensitive root system of peppers, you can sow the seeds immediately in separate pots and do without subsequent picking. And if you need to save space, you can first sow them in special tablets that are convenient to place and carry, as well as compactly and reliably installed if there is a need for additional lighting.

The agricultural technology for growing the Orange Miracle is generally similar to other varieties of peppers. You should pay attention to the air temperature in the room, since peppers are quite capricious in this regard: if it becomes noticeably cooler at night, it is better to turn on the heater at low power. It is recommended to water the seedlings with warm water and monitor the humidity - peppers do not like either dry air or the same soil. Orange miracle seedlings must be hardened off before planting. Breeders recommend planting bushes at the end of May, and if the climate in the region is cooler, at the beginning of June. Fertilizing is carried out according to the standard scheme, without skipping, since the fruits of this variety are expected to be quite large.

Preparing for landing

Good seeds - good harvest

First of all, you should take care of the quality of the seeds. Orange miracle pepper seeds must be disinfected using a manganese solution or a solution of aloe juice. This is done in order to kill all bacteria and increase the immunity of the seeds.

Then the seeds need to be washed under running water and dried thoroughly. After processing, you can plant in containers.

Separate containers are used for seedlings. Otherwise, when transplanting seedlings to a permanent place, the root system can be damaged.

Each container needs to have drainage in the form of a hole at the bottom. This is done so that excess moisture comes out and is not stored in the roots. After all, this can lead to their rot.

Preparing containers

Before planting seeds, you need to fill the container with light soil: mix sand, humus and ordinary soil in a ratio of 1:2:1.

The soil needs to be watered with a small amount of water and the seeds should be planted 3 cm deep, which allows the roots to form at a depth, which increases the stability of the bush. Then you can fill the planting material with a small amount of the remaining soil and compact it a little.

In the room where the containers will be stored, a temperature of 25°C should be maintained. Only under such conditions is the best germination of seeds observed. After the first signs of germination appear, the temperature can be reduced to 16°C.

Soil preparation

In the fall, you need to add organic matter to the soil in the form of humus or peat. Please ensure that the soil acidity is low and does not exceed 4%. Otherwise, you need to add lime to the soil.

Transplantation of finished seedlings (with 5 leaves and a height of 15 cm) into the greenhouse should be carried out according to the 50x50 pattern.

Immediately prepare supports for tying up bushes. In open ground, the distance between rows should be about 60 cm, and between holes 40 cm. You also need to take care of supports.
